Exhortation
Hebrews 3:12-13
"Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin."
Israel could not enter into blessed rest because of their unbelief and lack of faith. Sometimes I find my heart turning restless, and I have to stop and realize that it may not be at rest because I am not placing my full confidence, faith, trust, and believing in the Almighty God each step of my way. An unbelieving heart is an evil heart. I try sometimes to make things sound less harsh than what they are, but God is ever truthful- and when my heart lacks faith in God I am drifting from the very One whom I love so dearly. Fellowship with God- it is a sweet thing. Without faith it is impossible to please Him.
I find in my own life that I am more likely to trust someone that I know, rather than one with whom I've spent very little time. I have been reminded that I must grow day by day closer to that sweet Savior of mine. I wish to encourage YOU to do the same- lest you or I be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. Stay in His Word, the Bible. If I do not know Him I am less likely to trust Him, and the only way I can know Him is if I take the time to listen to His voice (though at times it is still and small), and speak to Him in return.
I encourage you, and may you encourage others. Redeem the time, for the days are evil.

Sis, That was a great reminder. :) Thanks! It is easy to at times sugar coat and make excuses, but God's Truth is The Truth. Thank you for encouraging me through your thoughts and His truth.
Thank you all for your sweet comments. God is so good.
"Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: For our God is a consuming fire." -Heb. 12:28-29
