I want SNOW!
The pitter-patter of rain drops dominates all sound waves flying through this room aside from the soft hummm of the computer tower on the desk here. Rain drops- in January. I do believe the outside condition is confused as to which season it is presently in. IT'S WINTER! That means SNOW! I wish. No, I shall instead put on my coat, hat, and gloves in the morning and race outside in ecstatic anticipation of making MUD ANGELS!
Just kidding... enough with the nonsense.
So, I am now through with work for this break- and God was so good to me! I put in a lot of hours last week! 62.75 hours in one week is enough to make anyone exhausted. God provides!
I celebrated the end of my working debut by going to see Chronicles of Narnia with my brother. We had a great time, and then we went to Starbucks afterward. If you haven't tried the new Cinnamon Dolce Latte, you've GOT to try it! Yum yum.
Just so you all know, I've got a great brother! hehe :) I actually have three great brothers and three great sisters! God has given me the bestest family ever- I just hate the fact that I have to leave them for four months in just a week and a half! Anyway...
Malachi 2:9
"Therefore have I also made you contemptible and base before all the people, according as ye have not kept my ways, but have been partial in the law."
This stuck out to me (as well as many other things, which I have not time to share) when I was reading Malachi last night. The people had not kept God's ways not because they had not done it at all, but because they had not done it whole-heartedly. They fell short by keeping part of the law, but not all of the law. True, they made sacrifices- but they were not the best as God had expected. I think of how many times I begin but do not finish. Or I finish but have not put forth my very best effort. Why should I stop at simply giving God my good, when I could (and ought) give Him my BEST, my ALL. Just a thought. I heard a great quote once (one I desperately need to apply)...
"Good, better, best: never let it rest, until your good is better and your better is best!" -unknown
