Miracles
Oh, you must know- my God is so faithful.
Long hours awaited me after my last post. I slept for about one hour last night before I had to get up to get ready for work. I had much time to think about things last night as well as put in many prayers that God would give me the strength I needed for this day, and what amazes me is that He did give me greater strength than I could have had of myself. I had not only enough energy for this day (I put in 11 1/2 hours!), but I could say I was rather enthusiastic about everything. Part of it may have been that I was very glad to see everyone again and it was good to work there again- I love those people! They were so welcoming to me too.
Anyway, that is the happy continuation to my last post.
I read Haggai today. I was reminded of the fact that God does have a purpose for us. It is not just to do my own thing and live my own life, but He designed me to grow and bear fruit. At the beginning there is a verse that speaks of how the people had planted but never bore fruit; they saved money in purses with holes in them- so basically what they did was worthless. Yet, God still chose to bless them.
I read at the end where God says to Zerubbabel that He had chosen him. I guess I rabbit-trailed a little bit, but I was reminded of the passage in John 15:16-17...
"Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. These things I command you, that ye love one another. "
I think it is neat that God has done the choosing. God does all the work and we receive all the wonderous benefits. Why? I cannot comprehend why He'd have chosen me. Just because He is merciful and loving to His little pathetic creatures. :c) I am nothing without Him.
Well, I am going to try to get some sleep now. :c)
MAY GOD BE GLORIFIED!

"But I have ordained you"; what an encouraging and promising Word. Thank you for sharing.
I would love to talk to you sometime about what the Lord has taught you this last year. You have blessed me these last few weeks and I am so glad you are home for a little while.
