A New Day

Yes, it is late I know. But though this coming day may present itself with sleepy eyes and a half-alert mind it is for a good cause.
Sometimes we allow life to pass us by without taking the time to understand it, articulate it, or place a value upon it in its vaporicity (new word).
A few people in my life recently have challenged me to step back, and observe for a moment what is actually taking place rather than simply watching it happen. God has given us a marvelous thing in this phenomenon called 'life'. It may be gathered up and enjoyed, or it may slip right through my fingers without my ever realizing it.
Take time to realize that life is more than surviving. It's about living- living for the Lord. There is so much to be seen, yet not with my eyes but with my heart. Surviving life is about hearing with my ears, seeing with my eyes, and feeling with my fingertips; living life is about hearing, seeing, and feeling with my heart. Too often I forget that.
